There is a great selection of plants at reasonable prices, and their own line of epidendrum breeding is unmatched anywhere in the world. James and Lori Rose, the owners, are always willing to share their knowledge and insights. Highly recommended, and a must-visit when in Santa Barbara, but you need to call ahead.

I called and reserved a couple of colors of epidendrums I really wanted. I drove a few hours to get there and my new babies were all ready for me (plus I found another color that wanted to join my collection). The lovely gentleman walked around with me and shared a ton of knowledge and experience about all the plants I liked. What a charming experience! I love the variety of species and tons of colors. So beautiful. There are lots of seedlings so every orchid is unique! I highly recommend this place. I spoke with his wife the night before on the phone and she was absolutely great and set up my visit exactly as she said she would If I still lived in town I would be back there frequently. It's just an old school orchid place with a nice mom and pop feel. Very Santa Barbara. I'm so pleased I bought from them.

The nursery is closed to the public with the exceptions of appointments. One must call and verify availability of appointments. Love this place. Have been visiting for years. The owners are very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Their prices are great. You know that what you are getting is the very best.
