Assurant keeps sending me mail for someone who does not live at my address. I have notified them several times to inform them they should update their records, but they refuse to do so. All the customer service representatives I have spoken to have been incredibly dismissive and uphelpful. Take your business elsewhere.

I waited for a month for a claim. I had to call every day and email to try to see what was going on with my claim (no one would return my phonecalls). Multiple false promises were made just to be told a month later that I wasn’t going to be covered. I asked for a manager to call 2 weeks ago. Still never heard from them. There’s a lack of communication and compassion. Very unprofessional. Edit: the company did reach out and say to reach out, to which I did, only for them to have the same adjuster who ignored me for a month to reach out. Lol this place needs help!! Oh let’s not forget about the phone insurance I had and had to cancel because the deemed the wrong ein number for a replacement so it completely erased the other phone (I had 2 phones insured) from the apple world so I can’t do anything with one of my iPhones. And then had the audacity to say I owe them a phone when I had returned it. It took months to figure out what happened only for them to say they threw the phone I sent in away and I owed them for that phone This place needs to be shut down.

I had a claim on a lightning surge policy for years through FPL. I provided them will all the details they asked for and I was able to dig up. I had witnesses from neighbors that also sustained damage from this strike. I gave them a chronological sequence of events to have my alarm system replaced with statements from them as to the cause of the failure with a verbal recommendation of the potential cost and suggested the route to take. This unethical (typical) insurance company wanted a repeat of what I already sent them in spades. Horrible dishonest company. To think they suggested I was the unethical liar. I will contact FPL about this company.
