I signed up on July 30th and was told I would get a packet in 3 days time. I called two weeks later and they said they are sending it out any day now. It has now been over 3 weeks and I still have not received it, nor have they sent it. I feel like I just gave my money to them for nothing in return. I asked for a refund and to cancel my membership since I was in desperate need of this info when I signed up, but since they took to long I bought into other resources with companies that were responsive. Hoping to get my money back.

Michelle (I think that was her name) was very curt, rude and actually hung up on me before I was able to even come to a solution. She gave me an answer, which I appreciate but I needed more help and she clearly didn’t want to or try to help me at all. I called because some things on my lease and that my landlord are charging me for seemed shady and possibly discuss how to get out of the lease and she provided minimal and rude responses. I understand if it’s on my lease I owe it but if the terms of the lease are illegal in Utah I’m freaking confused and now I’m just more confused and emotional. Thanks for nothing. Maybe another employee should answer your phones from now on.

If you own rental property, you'd be stupid not to be a part of this organization.

UAA puts an "automatic" charge on their bill for an extra $50.00 for "political contribution" then gives the total charge (including the optional charge) at the bottom of the bill. This is very deceptive. What is the political contribution being used for? Also, their membership dues for 0-9 units is $125.00. So what if a person has 0 (zero) units? Are they still charged the $125.00? This association is very deceptive and appears to charge extra money without disclosing what it is used for (political contribution). The association is exploiting Utah citizens and charging for ghost fees. It is supposed to be a Non Profit organization.

I don't think so. Call during their open business hours. Young gent at the front desk knows just about everything there is to know
I would recommend contacting an attorney for legal advise, interpretations, or questions regarding Utah State laws. The UAA, to my knowledge, does not offer legal advice.
