Overrated. Lacked flavor and hardly any cheese. Good amount of meat but not great. Prices online are outdated and menu doesn’t show prices when ordering, starts at $10. The free items are NOT free if you get on the side. She asked if I wanted items on the side, and since they were the ‘no cost items’ of peppers, etc I said ok. Then, I was charged $6 for 4 sides of the free toppings. WTh? I felt duped. Not very friendly. Not going back. Food not worth the high price. $26 for 2 cheesesteaks with no extras? No thanks.

My father and I were in Philly for business and I figured I had to get a cheesesteak while we were there. I saw Dalessandros was on the way home more or less so it was the one. I’ve seen lots of reviews but never had a chance to get there. The ordering system was interesting. First go to the window on the right and put in your order. Probably best to have some idea of what you want but the girl taking orders was friendly and patient. Once your order is in it’s time to wait. I had the time so I didn’t mind waiting. Generally waiting means you’re getting something good. The wait was about 35 minutes. Once your name is called and it’s displayed on the monitor in the middle you then get in the line to the left to pay and pickup your food. It seemed like that line moved significantly slower. But I understand it takes time to take payment and get the food out. Now to the food. I had a cheesesteak with fried onions and American cheese. I forgot to order the crushed hot peppers on the side but next time. My father had the mushroom cheesesteak with fried onions, green peppers and American cheese. The first thing of note was the amount of meat in the sandwich. It was very full. The extra topping for both sandwiches were piled on top. The meat filled the entire bread and the topping were lottery on top of that. We both really enjoyed our steaks. It had the right amount of cheese. Cheese in every bite. The meat was tender and juicy. The bread was pretty good but not the star of the show. So should you go here? Heck yeah! Now I won’t say this is the best in Philly and it’s really because I don’t have enough experience. I’ve only had a couple other places and I know there are many many more. But it’s got to be among the top spots for sure. I loved my steak and hope to be back soon.

Yes Cash only but they do have an ATM. Always crowded but they do have a counter to sit at and people move in and out pretty quick. Soo worth the wait their cheesesteaks are the best b

We couldn't get anyone to answer when we called yesterday. We just went there and stood in line to order.
It’s counter service, about 12 seats or carry out. They serve bottled beer but it is in no way a bar.
Why were they closed? The have been open every time I’ve been there in the last six months.
