The staff is overwhelming kind and professional. The new facility is just what the county needed to serve the well deserved animals.

Having been a previous Volunteer here, I know how hard the work is and there is SO much that needs to be done and the Volunteers often stay way over the time they planned to volunteer to get everything done. I'm sick of all the complainers here! Instead of complaining, why don't you go become a Volunteer at Animal Services and help out instead of writing judgmental words! Seriously!!! They are doing the best they can with the limited volunteers that they have! Go help or just cala a sua boca!

Animal services is useless. My 9 lb maltipoo was attacked by 2 large dogs. She had about 120 lbs of dogs on her and received a picture wound. I received bruises on both thighs from dog jumping up on me to get my dog. Animal services just gave these people a slap on the hand. This is my neighborhood. Just waiting for these vicious dogs to bite a child or me since I have the dog they want

Animal Services is not to be confused with Woods Humane or any humane agency. The director, Eric Anderson, has permitted the neighbors roosters crowing 24 hours a day and three German Shepherd dogs kept in a small cage together whining, crying and barking 24 hours a day and refused to cite and remove these animals after I called and complained for 3 years now. One dog lost it's mind through the torture it endured and the owner had it killed. Eric Anderson created a new policy in violation with the very ordinance he is under duty to enforce which is ultimately the reason myself and the dogs have suffered for 3 years now and he still refuses to help the remaining dogs who continue to suffer 24 hours a day.

Yes
There can be. Check out the web page that shows all the adoptable animals or call them to ask.
It is illegal to relocate wild life and usually if you do they will just come back. You need to remove the reason why she is there and she will move on. Make sure there is no food source and no nesting area. Usually after she is done weaning them they will move on as long is there is not a continued food source. Opossums are one of the most beneficial wildlife that we have around here, they generally cannot carry rabies and they eat ticks. The biggest problem from most people is they love cat food, so do not feed your cats outside and check with the neighbors to make sure they are not either.
This is wild life. Call pacific wild life and they would have helped and rehab the crow. I believe you personally should contain it somehow for Pacific wildlife to pick up. Remember it can be 24 hours before pacific wild life calls back and they will.
All animals adopted come fixed, all shots, etc according to age. Woods and Woods North humane society has low cost spay/neuter clinics. Sometimes animal services will have coupons for a certain amount off. However, website will let you know.
Not that I'm aware of. I am not a permanent resident but there seems to several organizations that take in abandoned animals.
Call animal services
There is an application, ID and an adoption fee.
They will be spayed or neutered before you take your new fur baby home.
Yes 💓
Pregnant cats would probably be unavailable for adoption until the kitties are born and weaned.... it's very possible they might be fostered by a volunteer until the kittens are adoptable....
Animal services only does domestic animals. They cannot relocate wildlife.
Please check with SLO Animal Services or any vet to see if it has a microchip since no collar with tag. Service is free. Animal Service also has a binder & posting board for owners looking for their lost pets. Thank you for taking care of cat.🐱
