Nothing like a peaceful day of fishing, especially adjacent to Interstate Highway 40. Love the sound of 18-wheelers!

Bucksnort Trout Fishing is currently closed as of October of 2019. They may re-open at some point again in the future. However, when they were opened, I enjoyed not having to drive that far out to trout fish. They cleaned freshly caught fish on premises. Although I'm sure that many anglers feel they can clean their fish with no problem & for gratis!

I had an incredible time with my son's there on Father's Day. Definitely check the weather before you get out there and bring extra food there are no restaurants near that location ececpt for the gas station, they do make great cold meat sandwiches! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful they do supply equipment. is best to bring your own GEAR so you can teach your kids the art of knoting your lines..Plan ahead, enjoy time with your family bring a canopy and chairs and a water melon! Even the most novice fisherman will catch at least one fish if you haven't at least caught one fish not to worry they supply loads of fish for you to take home! They will fillet them I actually got some filets and pan seared them that night it was delicious !! These are the same fish you'll find in many of the fine restaurants in Nashville! Next time I go I'll probably bring home at a couple of whole fish and grill them ! Have fun and FISH ON!!!

Questions & Answers

Can you fish for trout with fly rod and or ultra light. And is it pay per pound?

Hi Phillip, Sorry, but I did not see this earlier. Unfortunately we have had to close the trout ranch for public fishing this year. The restaurant/fish market supply side of the business has grown faster than we expected and I do not have fish inventory to do both sides of the business this year. I had to prioritize my year around restaurant customers, so the public fishing had to take a break this year.

With the weather that came in Sunday the way it did, isn't possible to extend your closing for the season by just one weekend?

Rickey, Sorry for not replying but had some technical glitches and just gained access to this system today. Unfortunately we will not be opening for public fishing for the 2019 season either. We currently do not have the stock on hand to handle public fishing and the restaurant supply side of the operation. Since restaurant supply is want pays the bills all year, I have to give that priority.

What is the best time of the the year to stop by if you can only come one time to fish Dugger's
