A Door County delight in Ephraim. We shared the saganaki, green gazpacho, battered green onions, couscous, and the pasta of the day which was a ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage crumble. The tempura battered green onions were my favourite of the meal. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and a hefty portion; incredible. Small plates and impressively researched and sourced wines make for a wonderful experience. They don’t take reservations so it’s vital to arrive well before opening if you wish to dine in the first seating at 5 pm as we did.

Not only was the food really great- we were big fans of everything but LOVE the cacio e Pepe!! Great selections of wines as well and let’s not forget the shining star hospitality we received from the awesome gentleman who was running the show ( your GM) , literally was doing everything to seating, bartending, serving ,food running, etc. To top that, he was just as personable as he was hard working!! We had great conversation with him! Definitely the most memorable restaurant visit we had in door county due to all of these factors! Amazing food!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON YOUR TEAM!!! We hope to try Wickman one day when we make it back here!!

We went to Trixie's after reading reviews and it was definitely the right call. It's beautifully simply decor only complements the food and service which were absolutely excellent. We had a seasonal salad and an onion dish to start. We then moved on to the Gnocchi of the day and a mixed mushroom dish which were perfect. No really, I would have changed nothing about either dish. We finished with getting one each of the 3 desserts. I didn't think it would be possible to use the words 'light but rich' to describe a chocolate flourless cake but there you have it. A few recommendations... If you want to get the first seating at 5, get there by 4:30 or 4:45 and plan to wait outside as they don't take reservations and don't open the doors until 5 sharp. It's WORTH IT. Also, plan for about 90 minutes. It takes time to prepare food this unique and beautiful.

Outrageous! Such an incredibly delicious meal. Gillian, our server, was positively amazing - so attentive, informative and kind. This was our first time here, but based on this experience, it’s already become a favorite. For best seating, arrive about 4:15 or 4:30, enjoy a drink at one of the neighboring businesses, and keep an eye on the front door. When you see a line beginning to form, head on over and your almost guaranteed a place for the 5:00 seating. Otherwise, you’ll be added to a wait list for the 6:30 or 8:00 seatings. Either way, it’s well worth the wait! Highly recommend!

They're open 11 out of the 12 months ish. They close for about a month after Valentine's day I believe.
