It is definitely nice and convenient to have a train station in town. It was very easy booking ticket online and price was good. There was a huge thunderstorm the day of our travel, the train was delayed by 30 minutes. Not sure if the trains are on schedule or not all the other times. Parking lot is very big but no available spots close by. There are plenty of open parking spots off to the side. There is no designated pickup lane, so all the cars lined up in the parking lot.

I stopped over here in June 2021 on a train journey from Brunswick, Maine to Savannah, Georgia. It's not a bad train station, but not an amazing one either. It has a fair number of places to sit down outside, which is convenient in the pandemic era for reducing transmission and letting people breathe some fresh air while waiting for their trains. The snack bar is pretty bare bones and has limited hours, but the person working there was very courteous. In terms of location, the station doesn't seem to be very accessible. Aside from a few buses going into the downtown, the only way into the station seems to be by car, as it is adjacent to a 7 lane road and a sketchy, narrow sidewalk. The parking is relatively cheap though if you're driving in.

The train ride was good but due to covid 19 they shut Lot of conncting bus stops out. it's very costly And confusion and bad staff want to argue instead of help u

The last time that I was there a lot earlier was under construction but I'm they have a location for taxi cabs and for people dropping off and picking up.
I am pretty sure it will. But download the Amtrak app and look at the schedule for that day to be certain!!!
You can purchase tickets at the station counter or online at amtrak.com. You could also reserve tickets via phone.
I didn't see any car rental places nearby when I came through the station, but they have a payphone and I saw several people being picked up by taxis. Some car rental agencies (Enterprise comes to mind) will pick you up in your rental car and take you back to their office to complete the rental agreement.

I'm not sure? I was enjoying the scenery during the ride because I hadn't been on a train in a long time.
They have a parking meter that you have to put in your license plate number then you put in how many days you want your car park there then it'll give you a price and then you pay the meter the meter gives you a ticket that lets them know when your ticket expires
Depends on which station your going to. Richmond Main (1.5 mi) is on Main Street downtown in the Shockoe Bottom area and Richmond Staples Mill Station (6.9 mi) is on the West End at 7519 Staples Mill Rd.
