ANOTHER UPDATE: After “fixing” the foundation issues earlier this year we once again are seeing signs of problems yet again. This is now the 4TH TIME IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS that foundation issues have surfaced in our home. On top of that our HVAC unit which is less than 2 years old has stopped blowing AC upstairs. The potential cause being faulty wiring or duct work which were similar problems we had with our heat not working earlier this year. I can not stress enough to anyone do not go anywhere near David Weekley. UPDATES: - We discovered foundation issues 4-5 months (Feb-March 2021) into moving into the home. Work was completed and we were informed the issues was fixed. Fast forward to this year and we are experiencing every single issue again on top of new issues. Multiple cracks, slanting, stairs sinking, downstairs floorboards creaking loudly, nail pops in the walls and ceiling of EVERY room, soft/bouncy flooring. We had noticed that some of the issues were returning in October 2021 and the engineer hired initially came back out for a 20-30 min visit and confirmed everything was fine. Also within the report read "to keep inspection cost as minimum for our client". The client being David Weekley. After doing research on the engineer company, they do not have a website nor single review online. The only presence I can find of them online is that of a FB page. I have reached out to DW to explain how they discovered this engineering company as well as to confirm if they have done other work with their homes. We purchased a home from David Weekley at the end of October 2020. Since then it has been nothing short of a frustrating nightmare. Below are the following issues we have dealt with: -Trash was left behind after we had closed and were ready to move into our home. -The upstairs attic was left open and unable to be shut after we had closed. -Our irrigation pipes were winterized without consultation or notification after we had closed. It took over a month to determine where our irrigation pipes were taken and to be brought back to us. -A third of the downstairs floor was not insulated in our crawl space. David Weekley's sales team made it known that they pride themselves in their insulation standards. This was discovered during the inspection period and was requested to be completed before close. We were LIED to TWICE! They told us that this had been completed. -During our final walk through and the day before closing the lawn was used as an access point to install a community drain. The lawn was ruined though we were informed that it would be fixed before we closed. The following day we discovered that the new sod was lazily laid on top of the new sod. It took 2 months to finally get work done which and caused further issues as they cut through our internet wire underground despite assuring us they were aware of the cable and would be careful. Additional work will be needed in the spring since some of the sod did not root. -Our back door will not open and is completely stuck due to the settling of the home. Not only is this an inconvenience but poses a fire hazard. We contacted David Weekley on 1/16/21 regarding this issue and finally heard back 1/18/21 at 8:30 am. Rather than send someone over our warranty service rep wanted to come by and see it for himself. We are still awaiting a reply to get this issue resolved. Further, THIS DOOR HAD ISSUES WITH BEING STUCK AND WAS IN OUR REQUESTS DURING THE INSPECTION PERIOD! Within 3 months David Weekley has lied to our faces, did not complete our inspection period requests properly, have displayed poor communication skills, have shown zero urgency to fix issues, and lack any form of care after the home deal is closed.

Terrible experience buying a house from David Weekley. I’ve had major problems throughout the process, including 2 roof leaks and flooding in my laundry room and garage, all due to construction errors. Other signs of poor quality workmanship, including uneven drywall, crooked tiling, and gaps hardwood floors. Difficult to schedule repairs to correct problems under warranty and several missed appointments.

We built what we thought would be our dream home; well nightmares are Dreams too. In the 5 months since we closed we've had a roof leak; our bathroom flooded (most likely caused by faulty plumbing...will find out tomorrow); our heater went out due to wiring issue; construction trash unrelated to our build buried in the backyard; they dug up the cable/internet conduit during construction (fixed 4 months later, but waiting for DW to repair our landscaping); cracks in all of our walls (floor to ceiling). I've built with other builders in other states and have never had issues. I wouldn't recommend DW to my worst enemy. The common response; it looked good when we inspected it but we can't always supervise the construction crews.
