Very nice park. Slides, swings, other playground stuff like music instruments. They have bathrooms for men and women.

What is the source of the gunfire heard at Ambucs Park? The last time I was at Ambucs Park, I heard gunfire close by, but I couldn't detetmine the source, and I couldn't prove the gunfire was benign -- so we left.

Park is safe been going there for years with my kids. Never heard gun shots.

How large is the parking lot? We are passing through in our motorhome and would love to let our kiddos run for a bit. TIA

Should be enough room to park motorhome. It really depends on time of day and how busy park is. There are no spots for a motorhome, but could easily park across multiple spots.

It's there a cost to have a gathering there for a baby shower?

No cost. If you want to reserve a pavilion there is no cost you just have to call park district. If you don't reserve it is first come first serve.
