I can not thank Mr Jim and Eddie for everything they did for my dad. The compassion and respect they showed was so amazing. I highly recommend them.

The owner, Mr. Bowdre, was extremely nice and helpful when I visited the funeral home getting information for a friend who was in Hospice care. There was also another man working there - he didn't say much. After my friend passed away, I returned to the funeral home to complete the arrangements for his cremation. It only took a few days for the cremation. I was given a bag that held his box of ashes. I didn't need anything else since the ashes were to be scattered. There was a nice lady working there along with Mr. Bowdre. She was pleasant and nice to speak with. She must be new because I didn't see the other man. Personally, this new employee is a gem and an asset to the funeral home along with Mr. Bowdre.

I met with Carole a couple of weeks ago to look at pre-needs planning since my boyfriend of 18 years and I have no family here in Myrtle Beach. She took the time to explain everything in full and answer all of my many questions. We will be setting this up soon and it WILL be with Myrtle Beach Funeral Home as they have earned our trust!

There was a transport fee when they picked up my loved one from home to the funeral home.
You are asking a question of the Google Community not the staff or management of this funeral home. This is a question that needs to be addressed by calling the funeral home and speaking with a funeral director. I can tell you air would be cheaper than land. If they are driven up, you're paying someone to drive not only there but back. I'm guessing $600 to $900 as a ballpark figure. The decedent will probably need to be embalmed before the transport occurs. I'm sorry I don't have better answers for you. I'm sorry for your loss. If you have a funeral home in NY that your family has used in the past you may want to contact them and let them handle all of the arrangements. It may be less stressful for you.
