Lived there for more than 5 years! The apartments are infested with roaches! I called Eastern Carolina Housing Authority’s Main Office in Goldsboro to complain about the roaches problem! I talked to Robin and she tried to say I probably got it from my family members house! They would not fix the roach problems! All my neighbors that currently still live there complains of the roach infested apartments not just the apartment that I had but all of the apartments are infested with roaches!

It is public housing, so the four stars is relative to other public housing in general. Most, if not all, of these units are duplexes. The outside of the structures are maintained pretty well, and the office officials are pretty responsive to breakdowns, but the units are relatively old. They need upgrades including the tile flooring, Formica counters, appliances, and the tub/sink among other things. The Clayton property is pretty much crime free, relatively quiet and diverse. It's small, but certainly quite comfortable if public housing is the way you have to go. It's downtown, so Clayton's events are all within walking distance, including the harvest festival in late summer, the July 4th celebration, a summer concert series, a small farmer's market on the town square during spring mornings. You can also stroll to the Christmas parade, but it leaves a lot to be desired in the float and especially the band department. The restaurants on Main Street are on the pricey side (as well as the corner store and Compare Foods grocery store), but there is an affordable diner and pizza place within walking distance. All-in-all, it's not a bad place to be.

I have not received an rent statement. I just started experiencing bedbugs in my apartment.. Roaches come out at night in my kitchen.
