Of course on Labor day with 115 degrees the AC stopped working. So many other places claimed to be open with emergency service, but Alamo heating and cooling were the only ones available as advertised. Thanks for getting the house cool again on such short notice!

Hi, Is it okay for a furnace to wobble and shakes sometimes? What could be the problem?

John Patterson | May 6, 2022
Alamo Heating and Cooling Inc | May 6, 2022

Most of the time wobbling inside the furnace is caused by the blower wheel is out of balance. Most of the time a piece of something (filter, paper, furnace insulation, dirt) is sucked into the blower wheel (squirrel cage) and causes it to become off-balance and wobble. We would recommend for you to turn off the power of the furnace, take the blower door off, and inspect the blower wheel with a flashlight and a mirror. Sometimes the blower wheel balance weights can fall off and this will also cause so blower wheel to wobble.
