Al's #1 Italian Beef

So very disappointed in the food. Especially since I had brought friends with me. Everything tasted off--from the poorly seasoned beef to the flavorless bread. Even the giardiniera was a miss as it was made only of celery bits and red pepper flakes that had lost their heat. I wondered if Al's was under new management and was using cost-cutting recipes for the food. The only item that tasted as I remembered were the french fries. This disaster cost almost $17 (with beverage). Sad to say but that was my last visit to Al's Beef in Little Italy.

I enjoy Al's when I want a different version of an Italian Beef...the cut of the meat is different and it has its own taste. I live South of the City, but will drive to Taylor north for one of Al's Beefs!!! Recommend to try. Fries are delicious too!

I was so mezmorized by this beef Sammy. Not a word was spoken during the ingestion. Next time I'd do without the pepper. A lot of fries were given. Got a sausage as well and it was great. Definately a stop next time I'm in town
