I'm not sure. I have not seen security at any Black Bear restaurants in Vallejo or Oakland. I have not heard of those incidents. I will inquire though.

POSSIBLE BURGLARY SCAM OUT OF OR AROUND THIS RESTAURANT!!! We ate there a week ago Saturday. We asked to sit at the window so we could watch our car, but they wouldn’t let us. Sure enough, after we ate, we found our car had been burglarized. Our window was broken and our hand luggage was stolen. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE VALUaBLES. IN YOUR CAR!!!
