Adding an Aussie. Our 2-year old Aussie, Blair, turns into a T-Rex around other dogs. Blair was from a breeder in Washington. Gene and Linda invited our dog for a visit in Gold Hill, NC and we gained peace of mind when Blair got along well with the prospective puppy and with their family Aussie, who is 4.5-years old and super energetic. The care and expertise for breeding Aussies at Cooper Australian Shepherds were clearly evident and appreciated. Blair is a female Red Tri. Our new puppy, Bazil, is a male Black Tri who is in outstanding health (runs fast tirelessly and explores far and wide, including climbing steps at 9-weeks old), and he has an outgoing, playful, and friendly temperament. The terms and conditions for gaining Bazil from Gene and Linda were reasonable and included a genuine requirement that the adoption was a good fit for all concerned. We got Finn almost a year ago now and the whole process was so easy and Gene was so amazing. He was very informative and has a great love for the breed. He gave us all sorts of information to use as our puppy grew and is always willing to answer any questions we have as Finn grows.

I CANNOT say enough about Cooper's Australian Shepherds! My husband and I have two of Gene and Linda's dogs and cannot be more pleased. The whole experience was so much more than I could have ever hoped for. Gene's knowledge of the breed was so helpful and they treat you like family. If ever I have a question I can get a hold of Gene and it is answered and we bought our pups 2 years ago! We are even considering a third Aussie and would think of going anywhere else. Both my dogs have not only gorgeous but have sweet dispositions and did I mention smart?! Oh, so very smart! We also make the trip down from Maryland every year for his Aussie Convention. I have owned English Shepherds most of my life. I lost my wife last May, am 86, in good health, own my own home with a fenced yard in Asheboro and am interested in a miniature or even a standard Aussie. Do you know of any for sale? Would prefer an adult whose owners need to find a good home for him or her, but would consider a puppy.

Depends on the color and/or sex of the puppy. Typically from $1200 to $2000. Contact Gene directly for more information. He and Linda breed high quality pups with great dispositions. They love their dogs dearly and take excellent care of them. Their concern in breeding these pups is to provide a wonderful pet that will provide years of pleasure, happiness and companionship.
Give them a call...they are nice folks...but there is a waiting list for pups
All of our Aussies have docked tails. That is the standard of the breed and AKC requires us to do that.
They are breeders, so yes there are plenty of puppies. And they take REALLY good care of both their puppies and their customers!
