Months ago my vehicle was hit. The driver stripped my passenger mirror. To Hilliard Police credit they did an investigation but the driver said it never happened and the same driver has no insurance. I recently saw the same driver, driving around hilliard. Does the driver have insurance now? I'm just not happy with the resolution. Seems its ok to drive without insurance in Hilliard but i digress. I'm just worried about the driver hitting someone else and that someone else gets screwed.

Hilliard PD is the greatest PD around. They are quick to respond to calls to retail business when needed and very friendly to help you. A lot better than the overgrown Columbus PD. Never had a PD dept be so helpful like Hilliard PD, I wish I could rate them higher, plus I wish I could live in a great city like Hilliard.

I had a car that was scheduled to be towed at 6:30 today for being too close to a mailbox. The car could not be moved because the key broke and I needed to get it towed to Honda to get a new one programmed. I worked all day and Honda's shop closed at 5. So at 5:30 I go to push the car to a legal spot. The problem was there wasn't one close by, I had parked a neighborhood over from mine at the time because mine runs out of parking late at night. So my options were push a car a whole neighborhood over or get towed. A Hilliard police officer, I wish I would have gotten his name, knew the situation with my car being marked to tow and was driving by and saw me. He listened to my predicament. Helped me push the car to a safe spot to have him pull behind to bump me to my neighborhood, and took 15 minutes to safely push me home. He was so kind and so humble when receiving thanks. About 2 years ago I could not say more negative about Hilliard police, since then every time I've come into contact with one they have been empathetic and treated me with great respect and kindness. I could not be more happy to live where I do, because they have police men that truly know what it means to serve and protect and will go outside of the job description to be helpful!
