The wait times are insane! 4 hours and counting! It’s ridiculous!

My child has been waiting for 6 hours to be seen for a head injury

The scheduling staff is extremely rude and desensitized. There is absolutely no reason parents should have to deal with discourteous and irritable staff members when attempting to schedule appointments for sick children. Especially when I am being kind and considerate when speaking with them on the phone. Members of the healthcare team, doctors, and nurses are awesome!

I take my oldest here to see her orthopedic doctor and he is real nice Dr.Brad

Hi Lepolian, We do have a Dermatology Department at Children's Hospital that provides outpatient evaluation and consultation on all conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. Our dermatologists also diagnose and treat hereditary and/or congenital skin diseases in children. You can find additional information on our website: https://www.chnola.org/our-services/dermatology/. Our main office number is 504.899.9511 and they can connect you to the dermatology department. Thank you, and have a great day!
No community service.

Not that I know of but we are on pt & ot floor. I am confident that if your child is used to having a story time they can make it happen. I hope that answers your question.
Children's Hospital usually have a lot of therapy for kids. I'm not exactly sure what kind but the hospital and the staff is usually exceptionally good with the kids and families. You can call the hospital and I'm sure they will guide you to the proper department. My prayers are with you and the family especially the baby boy.
There is a program called child life. You can research it for detailed info. It's a comfort for children who have to have iv's, blood drawn and other procedures
They are awesome. But the best specialist for GI is in boston and at duke. I'f its chronic I would either try for a transfer or referral or make your appt and go to duke first
Hi Cheryl, We do offer family housing on our campus for families who live outside of New Orleans and have a child who is receiving ongoing care at our hospital. The house includes 13 family suites with private bathrooms, common areas with two family lounges, kitchen spaces, and a laundry room. Arrangements to stay in family housing are coordinated through each patient's designated Social Worker within the hospital. Here is more information about the residence: https://www.chnola.org/patients-visitors/family-housing/.
From The Causeway, take River Road and follow it as it turns into Leake Avenue you'll continue on through Audubon Park and take a right on Henry Clay Avenue
Depends on where your comimg from

Hi Catina, We have a Pediatric Clinic in Metairie called Pelican Pediatric Physicians. Here is more information about that clinic: http://www.chnola.org/Pediatrics/PelicanMetairie. Additionally, there was a "Pelican Pediatric Physicians" clinic in Laplace that recently changed its name to Children's Pediatrics Laplace. Here is more info on the Laplace location: http://www.chnola.org/Pediatrics/laplace
Yes there is walk-ins for emergency however after evaluation you may be sent to the walk in clinic versus the emergency room depending on the severity of the child's illness
