Waiting in ER waiting room 4.5 hrs now for an x-ray for a spinal injury. Seriously if you need emergency care this is not the place to be. Displeased I had to give 1 star

I Transported a friend to this BuffaloGen'l ER, with severe neck pain and nausea on the morning of 4/4/22. Was very concerned about her pain- after she had brain surgery - stent placement JUST 6wks ago. After a long ER wait with her, the Neuro group examined her very thoroughly, then ordered the required scans for imaging comparisons. . The early ER Dr was very compassionate and patient centered; after exam - ordered: bloodwork, EKG, x-rays and agreed pain med. and muscle relaxer by Neuro team at, 7:30pm. The next, later, ER Doctor, was informed on her round at approx. 10:00pm- that the tylenol and Valium did NOTHING for the neck pain, stiffness- but, patient just felt 'loopey'. I left ER after 1145pm, and said I would be back in am. Knowing that this Dr. stated 'she was going to medicate her with prednisone and another type of pain med. Then allow patient to rest, and sleep'..At 7:15am I receive a text, from my 81 year old 'patient friend in the ER', -- (THAT WAS medicated at 2:00am with a new muscle relaxer and psin med)--that she was ALREADY in transport,on her way home from Buffalo Gen'l ER via shuttle transport( Buffalo w/c van)!!! "Did they notify you? " " No!!!" I WAS aghast, that I was NOT notified of her condition or discharge -EVEN THO' she REPEATEDLY asked them to notify me of ANY change-BECAUSE I am her Health Care Proxy and Patient Advocate. After all SHE had been medicated with first time new muscle relaxer, woke up and sent home to be ALONE !!! This IS not a safe discharge. This is a negligent discharge from an ER. She IS medicated, a fall risk, ALONE AND she has NO way to get prescribed meds. Shame on you.
