My mom went to the ER under the advice of a HHC Walk in Doctor for a possible blood clot. The Doctor she saw in the ER was very rude to her, made her feel like they didn't have time for her and like she shouldn't have bothered to come in. She went 5 hours without a single staff member coming in the room to check on her! What if she did have a blood clot and died under their care? Thank God she didn't, but that's a ridiculously long time to go without checking on a patient. Nobody offered her water all day, even though she was in the ER for like 6 hours. She has been a cancer patient there for 4 years. Everything was wonderful when it was just St. Vincent's. When Hartford Healthcare took over, there was a very noticeable decline. Clearly, HHC is focused on $$$ and not actual care of patients.

Never going back to this place ever again. I came in for breathing and chest issues and kept getting worse everyday. I got there at around 12 a.m and did not get called until 8 hours later. I am just saying, if you really feel extremely ill and need assistance as soon as possible, do not come here. I also got told that I didn’t seem in distress so I have to wait. But in reality I felt so scared that I was going to stop breathing at any moment because my chest was so bad and I was wheezing terribly for hours. I am very upset about this because I came to try and get the accurate help because I was scared and not feeling well at all.

everyone here is so wonderful. they make jokes with you and make sure you are comfortable there to the best of their ability. I strongly encourage any and everyone to come here if they are looking to be treated right (no pun intended) everyone is just so so nice.

No you don't stay in your car. You have to go through main lobby to be cleared and they will direct you from there. Hope this helps, Hawley 3 is just a conference room where the vaccine clinic is set up.
Yes, there is a nutritionist specifically for cancer patients at the Swim cancer center
The alarm system calls the fire department. They don't do drills with patients in beds. Only in case of actual fire, would the fire department arrive. Also fire suppression systems, fire retardant doors and extinguishers are everywhere, sections can be closed off.
The original hospital was built long before 1940s. The farm land around it was purchased and the new structure was built. The college at the hospital has some really unique medical tools on display. Not a lot but some
Yes
Depends on how many high level traumas they have, they are mostly used for that and if too busy you'll be out of luck
