What an excellent find in Franklin!! Not too many people places serve chicken fried steak and fried okra but I’m here to tell you this place is one of the best. You gotta try those cheese grits also they’re fantastic! The sweet tea is awesome good also. If you stop here, you’ll be surprised by the reasonable prices and the outstanding quality!

Recently, my Scout troop was traveling to summer camp and needed a place for about 25 scouts and leaders to have breakfast. I was ahead of the main group and stopped in to see if they could accommodate such a large group. The owner said she would figure out a way. The Scoutmaster and I agreed that we needed to introduce the scouts to a classic American diner and skip the chain restaurants. The entire staff were great as were many of the patrons that cheerfully changed tables and tolerated a clan of boys 11-17 years old. The service was great, but even better, they treated each of the scouts like adults, which made a big impression on them. Food was excellent, and we really appreciated the generosity of an anonymous patron. This experience made a big impression on our little band from Florida. Southern hospitality at its finest!

My family and I had an amazing experience here! We called ahead because we had a party of 12, and they had everything set up for us when we arrived. The service was incredible. Both of our waitresses were very kind and welcoming. All 12 orders came out pretty fast and every meal was correct (even with all of the substitutions) The food was fantastic. We all ordered an array of breakfast meals and everything was cooked perfectly. (I personally recommend the biscuits and gravy, and their ice coffee) All of the meal items are reasonably priced, ranging from $7 to $15 roughly. Keep in mind that payment is cash only! But there is an ATM inside. They were very organized with all of the bills as well and had no problem splitting the checks. I highly recommend stopping by Franklin Cafe if you're in the area!

It was what you would expect from a little mom and pop breakfast lunch place in town. Service was quick and friendly. The prices very fair. And the food is delicious. In the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Bunch of cool pictures and posters on the wall.
