This dump is notorious for telling us that items are allowed over the phone, and then five minutes later when we arrive, I find myself loading items back into my dump truck because they won’t take it. This dump has cost me a lot of money, a lot of time, and caused me a lot of stress. Wish I never use this dump, every time we go here it’s always an issue. Stay far away from this dump.

The women that work the scales are nothing but professional and very polite. I can't imagine how anyone that is humble and kind would have an issue......

Went there on Monday 12/27 after Xmas weekend and it was closed. I was told by others attempting to drop off trash that it was closed because employees don't come to work after a holiday which is commonplace. Tax dollars hard at work! And, how no one answers the phone?

No, they do not recycle carpet. However you can drop it off at they're transfer station as an Islip resident for a fee.
Only non latex paint. Latex paint cans can be double bagged and put in the regular garbage.
Don't think so, you can bring that stuff to an auto store like AutoZone and they will take oil and recycle it for you.
Just leave them on the curb on your second day pick up
It takes all recyclables....but unless you have a bunch of stuff you're better off just putting it to the curb
