OMG, this place really exceeded my expectations! First, the drive here. The mountains, the curves of the road brought back memories of my childhood. I felt 10 years old again! Second, the sweetest staff allowed me to check in early (on a Friday, @ that!). I had requested and received a ground floor room. The view from my room was peaceful and serene. After exploring the beach and eating a hearty lunch, I sat on the back porch to admire the view. The rate wasn’t too bad, given it is on a Friday, start to the weekend. You better believe I’m already planning a stay in a couple months, this time for a few more nights. If I could give more than 10 stars, you best believe I’d give this hotel 20+!

Beautiful Lodge on Lake Chatuge. No matter where your room, you had a view of the lake. Great place for a vacation if you like to fish, boat, kayaking or just looking at beautiful scenery.

The hotel was very nice! The room was mostly clean, at least where you could see. Under the bed and behind the night stand was dirty and there was a 1mg Xanax left from the previous occupants. The bathroom was clean and there weren’t any visible stains on the sheets or towels! The bed was super comfortable!

We really liked the accommodations. Comfortable room with a view, really nice continental breakfast, well cleaned facility, and really great rates. It was quite enjoyable up until I was abruptly awoken by pungent smell of cigarette smoke billowing through our room. There was an adjoining room to ours (that was also non-smoking) and the smell was most definitely coming from there. We mentioned it to reception and they tried to say the couple in that room stayed there all the time and never caused any problems, but if they were smoking on the balcony, it could have been coming through the heating and air system on the wall. I assured them it was not coming from outside or the air system because the only way to stop the awful smell from choking me out was to roll up our towel and put them along the bottom of the pass through door between our rooms. That only partially stopped the smell, but it was enough that we could stand to be in there long enough to pack up and get out.
