Such a beautiful morning ride. Caring and knowledgeable guide and calm horses. Highly recommend. Was a great experience for my family, including my seven year old.

I would not recommend this place for any families that have children who have not been on a horse before. They knew it was my ten year old's first time on a horse, encouraged us to come, yet when we got there, the staff did a 30 second or less instruction, put him on the horse, and that was that. When he started to get scared (before the ride started, but while atop the horse), they were not helpful or encouraging at all. I was on another horse on the other side of the area, and they would not allow me to get off of my horse OR take my horse over to where he was. Thankfully, another mom, who was close to him, helped reassure him. Meanwhile, the two guides were oblivious, seemed quite rushed, not concerned really with ANYONE's experience, including several other first time riders who were there. Eventually, one of the guides went over to my crying son and simply announced very loudly "This is not gonna happen" to the other guide and got him off the horse. No reassurance. No "You got this buddy." Nothing. They were very robotic. We got off the horses and left, my son visually upset. Nobody offered a refund of our $110 and nobody followed up. I was so discouraged as we love Black Butte Ranch and go there often as we live in Sisters.

I was treated to a 2 hour trail ride for my 48th birthday. Thankful, blessed, happy! 75 degrees on a November afternoon...the views were spectacular and company amazing.

You get ride with gorgeous view. Stuff are really nice and chooses the best horse for your level.
