Dr. Malton if you ever get to see this you should FIRE YOUR GATEKEEPER. You have performed surgery on me three times in five years, Dr Biber once satisfactorily! With normal hic ups. My eye lid has rolled in again taped to my cheek to keep open , requiring medical attention not plastic surgery. After seeking help for three weeks your gatekeeper could care less, indignantly stating WE ARE BUSY AND WILL SEE YOU AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR!!!, would not even give an appt. To see you for confirmation, yes stating she discussed it with you which I do not believe she did. It is now 9/3/ 22, after challenging, her action I reached out to other dr.s at horizon , they were receptive and concerned until they checked with the gatekeeper for history then it was over I WAS BLACKBALLED !!! I understand and appreciate office practices but I believe my situation could’ve been handled better. Everyone has to depend on their team but in this area yours is incompetent! Extremely dissapointed Ken Green 3/7/1948

Dr. Syracuse was rude, unprofessional and down right nasty. He and his nurses did not want to touch me as if I had a plague! I will never return or suggest his services to anyone. Still in Pain!

NOT happy & NOT returning. I'm giving 2 stars....1 for how nice Dr. Branner was at my first appt. in January 2021 and 1 for Julie in the contact lens department (she went above & beyond to help me find the right lenses for me). But after what just happened to me today, I'll never return. I was seeing my regular Doctor (Branner) after a previous appt. 2 weeks ago (in a semi-emergency for fear of a detached retina). I had been an almost 20-year patient at Charlotte Ophthalmology. They closed, so I followed Dr. Branner to Horizon Cotswold. My first appt. went great, but today I arrived at 10:05 for a 10:00 appt. I was then told that my appt. was at 9:50 (not sure what happened there). But even so, I was only 15 minutes late. I was told that I had already been marked a "No show". What??? The young lady at the front desk then said she'd be right back. Upon her return, she said Dr. Branner's tech said to reschedule me. Seriously?? She then said his next available is DECEMBER. I could not believe it! I mean...I was right there....see me. Whomever they had moved up to my spot in 15 MINUTES time....I could then take their spot. But no....I was told I had to wait 4 months! I was NOT a "No show". I was there. I should have been seen. I'm very saddened by this. It NEVER would have happened at my old eye practice. They made you feel like family. But it seems that Horizon is too "corporate" to care.
