I went in for a name change on a Thursday afternoon with no appointment. The process was quick and easy. The agent was friendly and made the process a piece of cake. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience.

Got there a few minutes before they opened, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Everyone was helpful and kind.

Reviews, confusing how they can be so different sometimes. I suppose we all have different experiences. So, I needed to drop Medicare part B because I have full coverage at work. Tried to call this office to make an appointment, which is recommended on their site, but could not get thru. Not a great start. I get there on a weekday at approx 11:30. A line of folks outside the door because the 'gov' is still mandating masks and 'social distancing' , what a joke. I wait about 15 minutes until we peek in the door and find out the guard didn't know there was a line outside. He seemed like a good guy. Maybe he dozed off, who knows. The real review is that the two folks I spoke to were great. Only a few seconds with the first person. She took info and then I had a seat again. 5 minutes later I get called and I get to do business with the best person you could ask for. MY BAD for not getting her name. So professional and human and we had a few laughs also. Got my business done and almost just wanted to hang there and have a cup of coffee with her. Way to be!

do I need an appointment ?
Good luck. I called to make an appointment and was told the phone wait time was 55 minutes. I went to the office in person and waited about the same time.
No powerball
According to the website you can either make an appointment or create a MySocialSecurity account at ssa.gov. after which you can apply online. Not easy to find the application

You do not need one it just makes it faster to get help, but if you want one do it online.
You should be able to call the office an talk to customer service
Yes, only through appointments, and be patient on the phone :)
Create a login for him/her on ssa.gov and apply for a replacement card.
No... You can call the customer service phone number. Based on the service required, the SSA official will let you know if you need an appointment.

West, a little past the intersection of Rt. 202 (near Barnes & Nobel).
While it's best to get an appointment, walk-ins are always allowed
No, but it's recommended you get one. In past experiences, it has shortened the waiting time if you have an appointment.
No, not necessary. When you walk in you go to the computer on your left hand side to check in and wait until your number is called.
What do you need to do?
No you do not. Just get there and login in.
Create an account on the SS website to access your information. You can see how much you will receive in the year you choose to collect.
I'm not an employee of the federal government nor an accountant, but it sounds like if any work you did after 1956 that you did where social security was not taken FICA was not withdrawn from your income, you're not eligible for social security. But ask an accountant.
Everyone who goes there signs up for an appointment after entering the waiting area.
No.
You make an appointment once you arrive.
You have to go to the office, sign in, and wait your turn.
I would assume you would go to the website and do it. I was just there but only to service equipment. I know they have a kiosk right outside the door to sign in but I don't know if you need to make an appointment ahead of time. They get busy quickly
I don't see why not. You probably can do it online too.
Go onto the social security website. You most likely can do that there.
No, just get there early walk in and take a number and wait
No, you must be at least 62 years old
Apply online all you need is your SS number
No appointment necessary, take a number and sit down
Yes of course but if you make too much you'll have to pay some back
Only someone in the Social Security office can help you with that
No appt necessary
