This is my second one star review. This organization allows animal abuse to happen. The woman who answers the phone has absolutely ZERO social skills and sided with the animal abuser I called about. Thanks Ashe County Humane Society! Thanks for absolutely nothing. What a complete waste of money.

Sent in an application and was told we would get a response in 48 hours, it is now 5 days later and we haven’t heard a thing. Have tried emailing and calling an no response, by far the most frustrating adoption experience I’ve had. No reason a kitten should be sitting in a cage inside a pet store when we have been trying to give it a loving forever home.

Always adopt instead of shopping. Staff can be a bit short or rude. But these animals need homes

The $10.00 spay/neuter program is through SNIPS at Watauga Humane Society in Boone. It includes both residents of Ashe County and Watauga County. As of June1st the program is put on hold due to rebuilding of funding to support the program.
Yes, they rely heavily on volunteers to help with the animals and such. There is a form you can fill out, so they can have your information to tell you things such as when they might need help with something. And the form is for other things too obviously.
No, fostering is a longer commitment than one weekend.
