Here’s an honest, helpful business. I was referred to MYBRS through a long line of contacts, since NYDS’s toxic dropoff site is closed for a year and since I hadn’t realized that Call2Recycle sells mail-back recycling pails (on its home page, and there’s one for defective batteries too). The MYBRS rep explained that he services mainly businesses and told me where to find that mail-back option for householders like me—and then spent time advising me on how best to store the batteries in the meantime. I hope his business customers realize what a treasure MYBRS is and treat it well.

You can visit any retailer to drop off laptop batteries such as staples , Best Buy, etc.. who sell rechargeable batteries. They provide free recycling for consumers. Or contact DSNY/311 for drop off locations in your borough. We service commercial businesses.
