The actual medical work seems fine, but their scheduling and logistics are TERRIBLE. My mom used them for both cataract and glaucoma surgery, and they refuse to give you scheduled time for your surgery until 2 days before the surgery. Which makes it very difficult for the person giving the patient a ride to give notice to their job that they need time off. When I brought this up to their receptionist, they say that most people take the day off. Huh. They only operate on one eye at a time. So, 2 separate days for each procedure. So because they can't get their act together enough to give you an appointment time, the people who drive their patients need to take 4 days off just for the surgeries. Then there are presurgery and followup appointments (they give you times for those, but these can take anywhere from 15 minutes to THREE HOURS depending on whether the doctor is running behind schedule - the three hours was mostly spent WAITING for the doctor at a followup appointment) I don't know about you, but I only get a certain number of paid days off a year. Also, they have different offices all over the place, Cranbury, East Brunswick, New Brunswick, but they schedule you for the locations that are convenient for THEM. So I've been driving my mom all over the state for all of the pre surgery and follow up appointments. You'd think that they could at least just assign her one office. So unless you have a driver or a family member with nothing better to do than to drive you everywhere, choose another eye surgery practice if you can.

I had cataract surgery and am very happy with the results. Dr. Witlin and his staff were great, helpful, friendly caring and professional people. I was amazed at how easy the whole thing was. I can't say enough good things about them.
