Visited Standard Tile today to look for kitchen tile. I had a tile that I brought with me for inspiration. When my mother and I entered the store, there were no other customers. Three employees were at the desk, two of whom were on the phone. We approached the counter and asked the employee who was not busy if they had anything similar to the tile we brought. She showed us a few options but expressed she just returned back to work after having been off for a few months and wasn't really sure of their options. As we looked at a few things, she went to ask one of the other employees for assistance. This employee came over and began helping us. As soon as another customer came in, however, she walked away without warning to assist him and never came back, even after that other customer left. Poor customer service at this store! We ended up leaving and going to another local tile store.

Hello Sandy, it would really depend on the type of tile you have in your shower. Most porcelain tiles are not porous so they will not accept a sealer thus it is not necessary. If you have a natural stone (marble, slate, travertine etc..) then yes you would want to seal it. If you are unsure of what type of tile you have please give us a call and we can help you figure it out. Thank you
