Dezire, we have a 90 probation period that you have to work for one of our contractors, after 90 days you can submit your travel card to move your membership to 379. Scott Thrower

Steve if you can give Eddie Byrams a call at the Hall 794-455-4595 Ext 206, he will help you out.
It depends on what level of apprentice you are
Call local 379 and ask to speak with the director of the apprenticeship program.
Jobs through IBEW 379 are scarce right now. I would wait.
Either go online to local 379 website or give the office a call.
Call Edgar Brown at 704-455-4595 ext 207, he handles the Greenville area and would know if there's any work up and coming.
We dont publicizes the list of contractors, if you looking for a contractor we can help if you tell me what type of work it is.
Applications are open until April 30th for the 2020 class, apply at www.carolonaseti.com.
Contact the local. They will walk over everything. Our pension is nowhere near as good not is our pay scale I'm not sure what other benefits he has
You would need to talk to the Apprenticeship Director Tina William's at 704-523-7001.
Not sure what your talking about, is this a low voltage license your talking about?
He can apply to transfer and the Apprenticeship Committee can approve him for a transfer. He can talk to Tina William's the App Dir at 704-523-7001.
Come by the office and speak to Doug, or Eddie. Put in an application. We can put you out as a helper but I would definitely suggest putting in an application with our apprenticeship. It is a four year program where you work in the field and go to school and you get pay increases as your skills and knowledge increase. Once you complete the program you qualify for a Journey Wireman's ticket with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
The state Apprenticeship with the DOL is a 4 year or 8000 Apprenticeship program and is valied for all Apprenticeship's that are registered with the NC Stage Apprenticeship. The old Mecklenburg city/county card was discontinued last year. There is not State, County, or City Journeyman Wireman certificate, only the NC State Contractors License, which all owners of Electrical Companies have to have is valued in NC.
The process to become an Apprentice is to fill out the Application, provide your transcripts showing you have Algebra and you passed it. Once this is done turn into CETI (Apprenticeship). They will get back with you to take an Aptitude test which is a standard government test that looks at your reading and comprehension, and math. If you score a 4 or better, you will be scheduled to interview with the Apprenticeship Committee, and if you selected you will start school in August. You can also look at this link from CETI website (http://carolinaseti.org/apply/).
