My mother lived in an apartment for 15 years and this facility offered her everything she needed to live in her own apartment including on demand nursing, doctor office on site, meals in the restaurant, a specialty restaurant and meals delivered to her apartment. Sadly her health has significantly declined and now she has moved to the skilled nursing floor. The staff in the building made this transition easy and helped me work out all the issues to removed everything from her apartment.

Shut this place down immediately! I wouldn’t send my enemy to this dump. Staff are ignorant and careless. The whole building should be knocked down. They treated my father terrible and left him in filth. The place looks nice at first but believe me it’s below basic as far as cleanliness goes. The smell will knock you down before you get upstairs. I regret sending my father to this horror house . The Health Department should check this place out at once!!! I have noticed that most of the poor reviews left by those who have had dependent family members who could not do much for themselves but rely on the help of the staff employed by this facility. I have read each and every one of them and it makes me sad to learn how those people were treated. I do wish something can be done to change that. It’s not just Watermark it is a lot of nursing homes that are guilty of the poor treatment of the elderly. How sad.

I had revised surgery at Thomas Jefferson Hospital on my femur and knee. I chose The Watermark at Logan Square to do my rehabilitation based upon its rating and photos posted on their website. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and preparation by this facility. After I was transported it took an hour before someone came to my room to help me with the transition. I had to call the main desk to get someone’s attention. Arrangements were made well in advance, yet they did not have my medications nor were they prepared to provide the much needed intravenous antibiotic I needed. I was told that they were still on the phone getting my meds which included my pain medication as well as my antibiotics. I arrived at The Watermark at around 6pm. They had all day to prepare for my arrival. When I pressed the director about when I would get my antibiotics he said that it would be taken care of tomorrow. With that response I became very frustrated and refused to stay a minute longer in this dark, dingy room with mouse glue traps in the corners. I was unable to film the mouse that scurried across the room. It is nothing like the photos posted on their website. I would NOT recommend this facility as an acceptable place for rehabilitation.
