I tried using this company to repair my Chimney. They sent a service man and inspected the work and provided me with an estimate. Then i asked them for additional work to be done on the same chimney and they sent another serviceman to inspect the work and they provided me with an estimate. I called them to confirm the work and ask them to start the repair. They rudely informed me that they do not want to do the work anymore and they did not give me a reason for their refusal to do the job. This is the worst experience i ever had with a contractor. i will never do work with this company anymore.

We hired this business to patch a rather large hole in our front concrete porch. It is difficult to find someone who is interested in doing a small job such as this. Frank agreed and did beautiful and timely work. We have used Tiny Tom for …

KEY POINTS & LESSONS LEARNED: (1) If an inspection seems overly negative, a quote too high or something seems “off”, don’t be afraid to spend a little extra for another opinion. The peace of mind alone is worth it, and you might save yourself a lot of time & money. (2) Tiny Tom’s is not tiny—it’s a bigger operation with several different teams of guys—you may never meet the owner. Your mileage may vary depending on which team you get. Likely the reason for 5 and 1 star reviews on here. If you want a more consistent experience, you might consider going with a highly rated, smaller company where you work directly with the owner/operator. MY EXPERIENCE: Tiny Tom was subcontracted by my home inspection company to inspect the fireplace during my home buying process. Tiny Tom’s team mis-identified my fireplace condition, claiming the wall covering material around it was combustible shiplap. Actually it was “look like” shiplap made from sheet rock—and it was fine to use. Got a second opinion, but not without causing a lot of confusion in the home buying process. Most confusing of all was the home seller had used Tiny Tom’s in the past when doing remodel work and had seemingly confirmed with them there was no concern—imagine their confusion when I raised the concern! Later, I chanced to use Tiny Tom’s again for a quote after they reinspected and agreed with the “other guy” that they had made a mistake. (Btw, not even an apology or partial refund offered on the inspection cost) Unfortunately, their quote for the other repairs I needed was quite high (even after offering to do something on the side without “telling the boss” to save me some money…when I still balked, they then had to talk to the boss to see if they could cut me a further deal—it all felt very tongue-in-cheek) In the end, I saved at least 50% by bringing in the “other guy” again. PS “the other guy” is a reputable company doing business across the Michigan line since the 60’s—so no, I wasn’t skimping out.

It sucks because everyone else seems to have great service and experiences. We tried scheduling with them twice. This last time we scheduled for today a few weeks ago...still a no show. No call or anything. I understand if things got backed …
