I see a lot of negative comments, and have no personal experience but just I wanted to commend SGT Danny Truit for his outstanding protection of the Constitution during a 1st amendment audit that was posted on You Tube. Most of the audits I see are failed miserably by law enforcement and other public officials. This was the best example I have seen if an officer who understands and protects the constitution. Nice job!!! We need more like you.

So you guys call yourself a sheriff's department but send an officer with no training out to a homicide that completely gets the whole case wrong. This is completely irresponsible and just all out wrong. Just because you work at a sheriff's office doesn't make you cop or even a good one at that. Pitiful.

Justice for Caleb James. Every single person that even looked at his file in this office should feel such a deep shame. The world is looking at you now, these are your 15 minutes. You guys make me sick.

For as long as sheriff James Hudson Jr. is in position you are not safe in this county. Incompetent, runs away from thier screwups, doesn't care to investigate if your a victim. Expect no help from them. Don't move here.

If nobody shows, then who's to defend against? Please correct your grammar, if this is your level you might not want to be handling firearms. Get some training, take some classes, have a LOT of range time in so you csn be proficient in your shots and use Google to look up the Castle Laws here in SC. In CO we called is the Stand Your Ground Law. Read it carefully and UNDERSTAND it and always be mindful of what's BEHIND your target, if you are not a good shot and you kill an innocent civilian because of a stray bullet YOU are going to be the one going to jail and never owning a gun again let alone see that child again. Just Friendly advice from a Disabled Deputy Sheriff.
Ur an idiot
You were unable to identify the suspects in a photo lineup, the mother was not a witness to the alleged crime and you withheld information from the investigator.
Have you tried calling the Deputy at the front reception? Or Detectives in charge of the case? That's your best coarse of action, don't get heated when speaking, keep it civil and proper no matter how hard it may be and your results will be much better. As a terminal disabled Deputy Sheriff I've seen the worst of the worst and the pain and suffering from family and friends and the legal system can be slow, it's bogged down to the max Everywhere to be honest and things take time, perhaps they are waiting for a certain piece of evidence before they move in because without a solid foundation a case can be blown over the slightest technicality unfortunately. And the evil doers gets to walk away so the Officers are doing everything they can to make sure they have all bases covered, yes it is frustrating, etc but it is just the reality of the sick world we live in. Believe me, It would be a dream come true for crime to vanish,An Officer dedicates their Entire life to their Community.
Call the Office & give them your name
