I TURNED OVER 3 ONE YEAR OLD CATS TO THIS SHELTER. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY LOVING! I HAD BEEN TALKING TO JULI ON THE PHONE FOR MONTHS. THEY EUTHANIZED THE BABIES! THE SHELTER.. STATES THAT THE CATS WERE TOO AFAID AND UNSOCIAL! THIS IS BEYOND SICKENING! I AM GOING TO PURSUE THIS BC THOSE BABIES DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE!!!!

We brought in a mother cat and her kittens to hopefully get adopted into a loving home. After having them on stray hold the shelter euthanized them all without even putting them up for adoption on the basis that they were "feral" when they were sweet, healthy cats. I even expressed to the lady up front upon bringing them in that I would be interested in adopting mama cat and at least one kitten if they weren't adopted by their euthanization date, and I left all of my contact information. I was reassured that I would be able to, I'd just have to pay their fees, but that mother cats and kittens were usually taken by rescues. I was not notified they were to be put down (or told to begin with), we only found out when we called back to check on them because they had never even been listed as adoptable. We would not have brought them here AT ALL if it was made clear to us at ANY point that any "stray" or "feral" cat would be euthanized, regardless of temperment.

Lisa I was able to drop my strays off but yes, owner surrender needs appointment.
Contact the rescue. You probably signed a paper saying you will return to rescue. They already saved the fosters once.

They didn't when I adopted my kitten, they just do a vet check to make sure you take any of your current animals for their shots vaccines.

Sometimes shelters get bunnies or Guinea pigs, but it isn't common. Most shelters and rescues advertise on petfinder!

Find a rescue in your area that you are comfortable with and apply for being a foster
You will probably have to contact the person "in charge" of that community. Also ask the neighbor if they have a backyard to let their dog to run outside there, as its dangerous for the dog
Im pretty sure this is a no kill shelter.
If this is still happening, i request calling the police if its really serious, as it can be considered animal abuse. Also ask if you can babysit for the dogs for free so that they can get the water and food they need. Hope they are still ok
