I went there recently. I'm new to this area and needed food assistance. I just filled out a small slip if paper with my name, date, address, and the # of people in my household and was given a bag of non perishable food.

Thank you for your interest, but no, the Food Bank will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Please call Food Bank. They are open Monday thur Friday.

You can go to the LCFB website: www.lowcountryfoodbank.org, then go to the Volunteer tab. You can learn about the different opportunities and sign up to volunteer online. Be sure to sign up in advance. Volunteer times fill up quickly.

Go to the Shifa Clinic in Mount Pleasant. They will give you food. www.shifa101.com You might be able to get a turkey also for Thanksgiving.
