I worked here for a month which I was promised training for job placement; however, I only worked for them for 7.25 doing hard manual labor. Whenever I brought up being train for a job I could leave with they told me no they needed workers for a contract they had. When I started working here I thought it was a place that helped people with disabilities find job placement, but it’s seems like they only take advantage and want cheap labor. I feel bad for the disabled people who work there who don’t understand what’s going on.

They have a do nothing attitude. They are incompetent in that they try to put a client at a job that is one of the worst possible careers for their disability and they have no desire to do, while meanwhile shouting down true tested experience and evidence that they can do a career they want. Plus it takes them 3 months to fill out a simple form.

Because it helps you fine a job and do training.

Thank you very much for your message. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about vocational rehabilitation services to help you with employment. The first step would be to talk with a VR counselor to determine eligibility. Once eligibility is established, staff would work with you on a vocational goal and an individualized plan for employment. You did not indicate where in South Carolina you live. If you go to www.scvrd.net/offices you can see the list of our office locations so that you can contact the one closest to you. Let me know if you need any help with that.
I think the people there use the pony Express
