Edit: received a letter from their lawyer threatening to sue me for leaving a bad review. I have taken out the language that the lawyers had issues with. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! SR Homes cancelled our contract just days after our original estimated close date of our house. After intentional delays on our build, they send a letter and our deposit via FedEx with no notice or explanation - just if you want the house you have to pay a higher price (which they didn’t provide). We had an agreement for 8 months then they rip it out from under us when we were 8 weeks to close?! We are not the only contract they did this too either!

BUYERS BEWARE!! Went under contract a few months ago with SR Homes in their new construction neighborhood in Watkinsville, Ga. (Stonewood) and just received notice along with twelve other families that SR Homes is no longer honoring the contract and are going to evaluate a new “higher price” for the homes in the next 30 days and we will have the option to go back under contract with the exact same house for a much higher price. As a result multiple families have already sold their homes and have been displaced expecting to close on their new homes within the next few months but now have to find another home in an already low inventory market. Was told by the CEO that it was about margins.
