So I’m going to leave yet another complaint with this company! My husband and I haven’t even been in our new log home two years yet and tonight we have a leaking roof not to mention the email I have from Doug Terrell that states he will have someone come out and repair our dormers. I have had to contact a roofing company since no one will respond to my emails and looks like I will be contacting someone to do the repair work on our dormers. We live in a $400,000 that Blue Ridge was paid for and this is the kind of work they honor!!! Very upset at this point and if Chip Smith, the owner, knew how his employees treated his customers maybe he would be appalled. I’m sure he doesn’t even know about any of the problems with our new build!!! Very unacceptable!!!

We toured the cabins and houses that they had on the premises and was impressed with each of them. The staff was very friendly and willing to take the time to explain everything to us and to answer all of our questions.

Called to come in and look at a specific model.Lady on phone said all I had to do was come in, no appointment needed. I showed up about 20 minutes later. (They need to put signs up directing where to go.)Got a little lost but figured it out. Two other people asking where to go as well. Finally found the welcome center. Girl at desk on her phone asked if i had made my appointment. Explained we had just talked on the phone so she said she had appointments I should go let myself in. I thought the model I saw was beautiful A lot of cracks in the wood which was questionable. I went back to the office, girl still on cell phone. No appointments there. I asked if I could get a brochure. I asked how much the model was as the website is very vague. She snapped its $400,000 and we only deliver within 100 miles. Very clear she needed to be on her cell. So I am question the price. I walked out shocked and didnt feel very welcome. She made no effort to engage with me on any level.Did the math on my drive out. Its like $350 a sq foot. I have $150,000 cash set aside towards buying a house. Would I buy one at this price , from them? Big no. Would i have liked to have had price, terms explained to me? Yes. Would i be interested if the interaction had been different? Probably. Ill go somewhere else or have something built. Nice house though.
