We really loved the gift shop, the old bridge and the overall look and feel of this place. However, we will skip the restaurant next time. The lunch menu was very limited and what we ordered was overpriced and less than mediocre (skip the flavorless taco salad and make sure your burger is fully cooked). Additionally, there are NO bathrooms inside of the restaurant or even the building. So basically that means that if in the middle of your meal your young child decides he has to go to the bathroom “right now” you will have to walk down a few flights of stairs, go outside and then walk all the way across the parking lot to a foul smelling outhouse. Not only was my little one terrified to pee into the black hole of a toilet so it took forever, he also ended up throwing up all over himself due to the raw sewage odor. Not a great experience but at least the gift shop was lovely and my kids really enjoyed going over the bridge.

Quaint historic site and mill as well as an Old bridge crossing the river that was nice to see. The mill is an actual working Mill, but it's most recent version was built in the 1970s so it's not exactly like some Mills from the 1800s even though this one was originally built prior to four different fires. It had a nice cafe on the top and a store and was worth the trip for us. But note, the bridge is a 10 and 1/2 ft maximum height! If you have to go back the same way you came there is a shortcut that takes you by a very beautiful spot on the river about 2 mi away - see photos.

We were first timers to the mill. We’ve been once before for the craft fair and that’s just too many people for us. We loved the atmosphere. Cole helped us out with local information and is incredibly courteous. He made us feel welcome …

Fantastic historic old working mill. Great place to bring the kids and spend the afternoon. Perfect spot for a picnic by the water, a photo shoot or check out the Cafe. Great southern comfort food. Including homemade beans and cornbread …

If you've never been there it is worth the trip.
Some may be a Organic kind Contact the Owners above Maybe its Gluten also.
No but they very happily bring food down stairs for anyone needing it and set up a table and chairs :-) I used to work there last year.
They do have some abnormal hours so it's best to check with them for any trip.
Yes on highway 12
I don't know if they do. You can contact them and ask.
Yes. Be sure to have a license! Fishing by the spillway is good. Bass, bream, bluegill, and catfish are what I've caught there.
No, the Mill did not flood this year. Yes, they are open.
No
I am not the owner
I would recommend calling them for that information to make sure you get what you need.
