Awhile back, I had a very hard time understanding why a very passionate fellow CAP employee ended up elsewhere even though they loved their job. Then, a week ago to date, I had the misfortune of losing my job with CAP/WIC. I enjoyed working there even though the income meant I lived paycheck to paycheck. I had an even harder time grasping why an antipoverty organization was willing to let another passionate person go in this situation. Before I had the chance to question my own integrity (one of their values), overwhelming support from my now old coworkers flooded me and helped me stay mentally afloat. I am now riding the wave of the next big opportunity with the support of at least 38% of my former WIC coworkers. I found it incredible that so many of you personally and willing reached out to me not only with other job offers and flowers, but most importantly with the heartwarming messages of encouragement like "I know you'll thrive wherever you go" and "you are a GREAT coworker, team player, and an AMAZING human being" and "your spirt was so uplifting and you were such an asset to our team" and "I'll miss seeing your positive smile, " etc. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for ALL CAP employees, especially WIC staff, because of the work you do! The 38% who reached out with warm wishes as I've departed have motivated me to move forward. For you are the reason I’ve rated CAP an overall 3 stars (even though all of you personally deserve 5). As an antipoverty organization, I would suggest that CAP assist their employees in obtaining background clearances. It’s rather expensive to put forth money when you're trying to make it. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the opportunity I was a part of!

My children absolutely love this place!!! The staff is amazing. Hands down, CAP provides an awesome learning environment for infants, toddlers, etc.
