It’s so unfortunate to give this place such a low score due to the quality of the food actually being good but the service was VERY poor. When ordering the waitress very RUDELY corrected my pronunciation of the menu. (I’m new to sushi so my pronunciation isn’t perfect). She talked to me as if i was a toddler and rushed me to order. When I observed the other (white) customers they were receiving a very different and pleasant service experience. When the bill arrived she kept my receipt and $10 in change (probably assuming I wouldn’t tip) without asking. When we asked for the receipt and change she rudely asked “Oh so you want change?”. OF COURSE I WANT MY CHANGE. I’ve seen a similar experience in the reviews and I would hate to believe it is due to being discriminated against but it’s looking like that is the case. I left feeling horrible and ostracized and will NEVER be returning and don’t recommend anyone black visit either.
