Holiday Inn Victorville, an IHG Hotel

I called prior to my arrival and requested an upgraded room based on my Diamond Honors status. The rep told me "we provide an upgrade upon arrival based on room availability." When I checked in I requested an upgrade based on my Diamond Honors status. The front desk agent told me "we don't have any rooms available so we can't provide an upgrade." I checked in and proceeded to my room. I then went on the ihg website and found that there WERE multiple room types available for an upgrade. My reservation was for 2 Queens Std. The ihg site showed 1 King Std, 1 King Std Balcony, 1 King Suite for these dates. I returned to the front desk, conveyed this info, and showed the ihg app to the agents. I was told "we wont upgrade you because we'd prefer to sell the room." So the agent lied to me when I asked the 1st time and refused to accommodate my request when I tried to revisit.

No free coffee, $500.00 for two nights and no free coffee. This place does have a restaurant and bar. Food was good.

Unfriendly and unwilling to help figure out a reservation issue upon check-in and again at check-out. Pure laziness...
