We rented the Elks Lake Pavilion for an event and it was the perfect setting for it. There are swings next to it for the kids, the tables and chairs are provided inside the building, there are also picnic tables outside behind the building …

Always amazing. Staff is great with upkeep, its always clean. My favorite place other than my house to meditate. Lots of gorgeous wildlife. Only downside is sometimes visitors are a little disrespectful to the wildlife but they can't really control that.

Stopped on a whim on my way to WI because I needed a break and loved the name. So glad I did. Peaceful park with water and huge gorgeous trees. Great spot for lunch, a walk, or relaxing.

They ask that the dogs be on leads but, yes, they are dog friendly.
Well you can't camp at Lake of the Woods. You can at TinCup down the road. But there are tons of picnic tables through out the park.. There's many beautiful spots with tables around.. Also if your thinking party or gathering there's buildings that can be rented. Plus there grills all scattered all over. Oh there are restroom buildings throughout the park as well..
Its free
There is a 3-mile paved biking/walking trail, point-to-point, from east to west borders, parking at both trailheads. Also, parking off of rt 47, just north of I-74. Many trails in the Buffalo Trace section, west side of rt 47. Much to explore here!
No
Yes. Electric only. There are 2 boat ramps. The western ramp by the spillway is easier to use with a bigger boat.
There is a pier but I do believe it is used for the paddle boats.
I believe so. There is a No Motor rule on the lake and dedicated launch areas for those boating and such. I have not personally kayaked there, but do not recall any kayak restrictions.
