North campground offers typical state park amenities. While located next to the river, it offers no views of the river except for one access trail. South campground is unimproved, with gross looking water in the inside channel. The park is basically abandoned of any park employees.

The showers were filthy and the one I started in wouldn't drain so I moved to a different one. Campers were surprisingly quiet since no one is actually monitoring the campsites, but the trains and the train horns are pretty loud and frequent. The campsites are spacious, many of them level enough for tents. Some have electric others don't, it's really random.

Place itself is beautiful even in the rain. One star off only because relieving facilities were closed and porta potty’s weren’t clean or even semi clean. Other than that? God’s Canvas there was absolutely breathtaking.

The park is moderately well maintained. The best thing about this place is the people I go there with. And being on the water for a couple of days.
