Fabulous! Spectacular service and the food is outrageous. Get the Noank oysters when you go. They are an oyster taken from the local Connecticut shores. They are wonderfully light, tender, and have a mild flavor you will not find anywhere else in the country. House-made Smoked Salmon appetizer is too kill for. You just cannot find smoked salmon this good and it's even more special they make it in-house. It is delivered to your table with diced egg, chives, capers, and toast. Perfect appetizer for one or two to share. Reserve a patio table if you can. You just can't beat their view of the bay while enjoying your meal. You can tell service matters as Dave Fletcher (Operations Director) comes to each table to check on guests. You cannot go wrong with anything on l'escale's menu.

Made reservations a month in advance. Showed up and they said they were running 30 minutes late (no phone at all letting us know). Horribly rude hostess. The food is not worth the hype

1)The valet's job is to parking a car right? not the asking customers 10 times if they have a reservation or not ?which is i told him 10 times yes we have a reservation! ridiculous.. 2) food was horrible. we ordered duck and halibut which was chef specials. halibut came over corn salad. no sauce or anything. halibut was like plastic, super dry and bland. no salt, no flavor. it was horrible. worst worst worst dinner experience ever i had my life. duck was so dry and was nothing special about. we paid 177$ for 2 chef specials ( worst dishes i have in my life) and 2 glasses of wine. never again.
