I am not an immigration lawyer, but my recommendation is that you follow their process only by telling the truth to the immigration agent. That you explain that because of x or y they separated, I do not know the real reason why they separated ... but go to your appointment and speak the truth ... or find a serious immigration attorney .. And good luck ..ah the brother does not matter what it is since it is not the brother who is requesting it .. unless he cancels the request of the Wife and starts one with the brother otherwise that the brother is a citizen does not benefit Him
