Before I started this meditation, I was always stressed out at work and every chance I got time off, I would take a plane and go somewhere. When I was on vacation, I felt like I was in my happy paradise with no stress or worries. Once I came back from vacation, that happiness faded and I was back to the work grind. After doing this meditation for more than a year, I realized I was looking for happiness outside of myself and that going on vacations only provided me temporary happiness. I notice that I no longer dwell in my thoughts to the same degree that I did before I started meditation, which has been life changing for me. While during this meditation, I feel more at peace with myself. I recently lost one of my loved ones, which has been an extremely difficult time for me, but this meditation and helpers have helped me on my grief journey. I am very grateful to have found this meditation during the pandemic and grateful to the wonderful helpers who have helped guide my meditation! I highly recommend this meditation to anyone :)

I came to this place to seek guided meditation because I was too distracted at home. I learned a lot and I only went for a month. Pam and CJ are the best instructors. They help you understand how the process works. They will answer all of your questions. The meditation technique is really simple and they help you stay on track every day you come. I recommend to anyone seeking peace, happiness and success in their lives.

Atop my previous review, I am happy to add that my meditation at bklynmeditation is continuing to go very well. I am truly grateful for this welcoming community. Why doesn’t life come with an instruction manual? How amazing it would be to have one. I tended to overthinking and anxiety, until a friend recommended meditation. I started meditating informally about ten years ago and about three years ago, I noticed the bklynmeditation center, and took my meditation practice to the next level. This place has the instruction manual I was looking for. Bklynmeditation is a school that has helped me learn how to meditate in an effective manner in order to achieve inner peace and joy while living. How fortunate to have a source of encouragement and support throughout all of life's events, especially through the challenging experience of a pandemic. The center is a welcoming place. Professional guides are readily available to teach a detailed method of discarding burdensome thoughts. I followed this method diligently, and have steadily shed worrisome thoughts. My knowledge and joy continue to increase. The guidance has been supportive and inspirational. I know that I can always ask for advice and support, and the center has served me well. It has been an invaluable investment, for myself, and for the benefits it has enabled me to bring to my family, friends, and the world. The bklnmeditation center has given me a toolbox that I have at my disposal all the time. I see my awareness skills increasing with every encounter, and my meditation practice continues to show me how to live more mindfully, with less burden and more joy. Conflict may never disappear, however with the center I have the resources to help me discard burdens and live a more joyful life. Prior to this meditation method, I was quite burdened by stubborn expectations and was constantly judging. Everyone was to blame. For instance, instead of seeing a crowded shop as a crowded shop, I saw a crowd of people all trying to cut me in line. Now, I can see a crowded shop as just a crowded shop: It is noon and there are 20 people in a small space (nothing more – nothing less). I am learning to see the world more truthfully. My mind was so critical and I was burning myself out. It was exhausting. I am so grateful that I now have a more peaceful mind. This has benefited me and those around me. I am so thankful to bklynmeditation center, and I am thankful for all the help it offers to present and future members. (3/24/2022) Following is my review from 2019: I needed a meditation community and I found it at Brooklyn Meditation in Park Slope. This center is based on a South Korean meditation method of discarding stored illusory “pictures” to reveal the true and one universe that lies within. The center is very comfortable, with available teachers who are very welcoming and offer ongoing support and guidance. It’s so worth the investment... I have constant one on one guidance and support and always have an available meditation location to go for meditation. Appointments and meditation spots are abundant and staff promptly responds to texts.
