This is the most peaceful and tranquil place for me. My deceased husband and I used to bring the children here often. Since his transition it was difficult to return but the beauty of the place called out to me as I am going though the fight of my life physically!!!

I am sure this is a lovely campground. However, people should be aware that the only road leading into the facility is poorly maintained if ever. Do not attempt to go here unless you have a high clearance vehicle and preferably 4x4. The gravel road is washed out in places and deeply rutted.

Strangely empty campground and facility. Appears to have been vastly overbuilt, then many loops were abandoned leaving picnic tables and trash cans in place. 2 other sites occupied during our weekend visit. Site completely buried in leaves …

I know there have been camp hosts that can stay that long. You would volunteer 20 hrs a week to get free camping.

Is hunting allowed in this area?

I believe so. I have never hunted there before. But i have hunted at upper Graham, hurricane landing, and Wyatt crossing. They had bridge construction on highway that takes you to clear Creek so im not sure if you can get through but it is worth a try. Rule of thumb is you have the COE boundary when you pass all the private land. That boundary is marked on trees with a sign or a yellow paint on the trees. As you go further all camping areas have a boundary mark either by sign saying no hunting or with red or white paint marks on tree trunks. Go on line and search MDWFP about Sardis hunting areas. Some areas like upper Graham is a wildlife refuge and reguires a special permit. I hope this is helpful but double check my info. All access areas have a map on the area information board as you enter the area that gives rules and regulations for that area. lt will tell you where to hunt if it is allowed.
