Under the initiative of Jamaica Performing Arts Centre, Dhaka Drama (New York) organized the Golden Jubilee of Independence, "Bangladesh Stage Drama Showcase". The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by the joy sound of Bangladesh drama, Dr. Farley Richmond (Professor, Fine Arts department at University of Georgia) and Mr. Courtney Ffrench (Director, Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, New York). Famous writer Ferdous Hasan gave an important speech. Playwright director of Dhaka drama Golam Sarwar Harun and Dr. Pratap Das. Playwright Professor Abdus Salim (President, Bangladesh Theater Archives) and Babul Biswas (Secretary General, Bangladesh Theater Archives) spoke on behalf of Bangladesh Theater Archives.
